Each month I plan to highlight one PCDJ DJ Software or Karaoke Software user, and their business. This month meet Casey Brown of CMB Music Productions of Texas, a PCDJ DJ software user for over 10 years.

Casey Brown of Palestine TX, owns CMB Music Productions; a multi-op company in east Texas offering a range of services from DJs, sound engineering, and event lighting.

Casey has been in the mobile DJ business for 20 years servicing weddings, school dances, and parties. His Mobile DJ business has used PCDJ products for many years, beginning with FX VRM over a decade ago, then PCDJ VJ, Red Mobile 1 and finally Red Mobile 2.

CB: I like Red Mobile’s high quality sound. A very crisp sound

PCDJ: What tip would you give to other DJs?

CB: Organize your music. From your database, to lists, to full tagging of your files. For every wedding I create a list for the bride’s special songs, and
a second list with the brides requests.That way I can easily track what I’ve played on her request lists, and keep her special songshandy for easy loading. The more info your songs are tagged with, the easier it will be for you to find what you need and fast. Like when you get a great idea for a song to mix into. You have less than 30 seconds to find it, get it loaded, and mix it in. It can be done, if you’re organized. An organized DJ, is a better DJ.
